Streakbit ("we," "us," or "our") is built as a local-first application. We are committed to
protecting your privacy and securing your data in accordance with our strict developer security
protocols. This Privacy Policy details how we handle user data.
1. The Security & Privacy Promise (Zero Telemetry)
In alignment with our pre-ship security protocol:
- Offline-First: All habit logs, streaks, completion counts, and onboarding answers reside locally on your device.
- No Remote Servers: We run no backends, cloud databases, or custom APIs. Your data never leaves your device.
- No Analytics / Telemetry: We do not include any tracking SDKs, analytics tools (like Google Analytics, Amplitude), or crash-reporting telemetry (like Sentry).
- Secure Architecture: SQLite database queries are fully parameterized to protect database integrity, and standard operating system application sandboxing keeps database files secure from external apps.
2. Local Storage & Sensitive Data
The App uses the following local storage subsystems:
- SQLite Database (
habitflow.db): Stores your habit lists, schedules, and daily checklist completion history.
- AsyncStorage (
habitflow.settings.v1): Stores app configurations (like theme settings, daily notification times) and basic onboarding details (name, age range).
- Secure Store: No highly sensitive personal data (passwords, tokens, or financial keys) is requested or stored by this app.
3. Permissions We Request
Streakbit requests the following permissions, which you can grant or deny at any time:
- Notifications: Used only to trigger daily habit check-ins and scheduled reminders.
- Local-Only: All notifications are generated and scheduled directly by the local OS scheduler on your device. No remote push servers are used.
4. Data Deletion
Because all your data is stored locally:
- You can clear all data instantly via the Settings > Clear all data option in the App.
- Deleting the App from your device will permanently erase all habit logs and history. We cannot restore deleted data.
